A school is the people who walk its corridors at six in the morning and the people who turn off the last light at eleven at night. Our leadership team is small by design: close enough to the girls to know each of them by name, experienced enough to make difficult calls without ceremony.
The Headmistress is supported by two Deputy Heads — one for academics, one for pastoral care — and by the Bursar, who manages the operation of the campus. Each residence is led by a Housemistress who lives on-site with her family and is the first point of contact for parents.
Beyond the senior team, the school is led day to day by its Heads of School and Heads of House — pupils elected by their peers, mentored by their teachers, and held to the same standard we ask of the adults. Leadership at MIS is practised, not awarded.
